Hylton Castle Commitment to Mental Health and Wellbeing
At Hylton Castle Primary, we place mental health and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to have achieved the Silver Mental Health Charter Mark, a recognition of our ongoing dedication to nurturing a supportive and emotionally healthy environment for our pupils, staff, and wider school community.
Our passionate pupil group, the Wellbeing Warriors, play an active role in promoting positive mental health across the school. From leading initiatives to supporting their peers, they are true champions of wellbeing.
We also host designated Wellbeing Days every half term, focusing on themes such as “Our Hylton Castle Heroes” and the “Five Ways to Wellbeing”. These special days give our children the chance to reflect, recharge, and develop strategies to support their emotional and mental resilience.
At Hylton Castle Primary, we believe that a happy child is a thriving child — and our wellbeing work is a core part of helping every pupil reach their full potential.
